• Informative Speech—The general purpose of this speech is for the speaker to inform the audience about an object, person, procedure, event or idea. This information should be suitable for a general college-level audience and be presented in a way that maximizes audience retention. Solid research and clear outlining are keys for this speech. Timing: 4 to 6 minutes.
