INTERMEDIATE MACROECONOMIC THEORY Writing Project

RULES:

The goal of the writing project for this course is to give you the opportunity to engage with a different kind of economic presentation than in a classroom, to expose you to some academic literature, and to train your ability to talk macro in general.

For the paper, I am willing to read up to 1,000 words, the paper forming 10% of the course. Choose a paper, read it, and write a review of it. Does it make sense to you? Do you buy the assumptions? Is it consistent with what you’ve learned in the course or in your general economics experience? Are there parts you don’t follow? Did it lead you to any related literature? Do you think it makes a contribution to knowledge? Etc. Some of the papers are more challenging than others. I will make slight concessions in grading for tackling more difficult papers.
