Spiritual Reflection Questions
Use those questions that are of interest to you or appropriate to your service to write your journal entry. Note: do not type these questions verbatim into your journal. They are to be used to guide your reflection and should be woven into the narrative of your journal.
- When I think about my spiritual experiences, what are my deepest feelings?
- Am I comfortable with things of a spiritual nature? Why or why not?
- What is it that nourishes me spiritually?
- Who are the people in my life (past and present) I admire most? What is it that I admire about them? What would it take for me to emulate their actions/ behaviors/ attitudes?
- Who have I had an influence on, either positively or negatively? How do I feel about that?
- What are my hopes, desires, and/ or concerns about my life and about the kind of person I want to become?
- What are the obstacles that keep me from living a spiritual life?
- What experiences in my life have inspired me to make a change in my behavior or attitude?
- Are there things in my life that I need to change or that challenge me?
- What is it that I truly value? How do I express those values?
