Journal 4
Your first journal reflection is due this week, but the instructions for the journal can be a little confusing because they are asking you to do many things. I have attached the journal guidelines to this announcement. Please read them over with the following steps below in mind.
Steps to complete the journal:
- Read the "official" journal instructions.
- Look through the module and find one of the questions that you are asked to reflect upon in your journal. In each module (except for the first and last ones) there are several journal questions embedded in the narrative. They are going to be on different pages of the module. Find one you'd like to focus on and put it at the top of your journal page. This is worth 5 points.
- Look in the book and find some quotes from the author which are relevant to the question you have chosen. Including a quote or quotes from the book is worth another 5 points.
- Think of some examples from your life, or of some personal thoughts you have that are relevant to the question from the module and the quotes you have chosen. Including your thoughts is worth 5 points.
- Now, put all of those together in a coherent reflection in which you create an answer to the journal question in which you synthesize the quotes from the book that relate to the topic of the question and your own personal experiences and thoughts. Write this up with proper grammar and decent organization. Grammar and organization is worth another 5 points.
Journals should be about 500 words long. Once you look at the journal assignment that is attached and think about the steps I have listed above, please email me if you have any questions.
