Kelly is a consultant who stayed up late into the night to finish a project for an important client. The next day when he was presenting his results to the client, he realized part of the information in the analysis was from a previous project he had worked on and wasn't this client's information. Because the people in the room weren't involved in providing Kelly with the data for the analysis, they did not notice the error. The client was very pleased with the analysis Kelly presented and happy with the final results. Kelly knows his final recommendation would be slightly different if he had the correct data in the analysis.
