Legislative Changes

This assignment will assess the Competency 11: Examine the current legislative and regulatory environment for significant changes that are pending or proposed.

In Learning Activity 2 of this learning plan, you were asked to locate current proposals to legislative changes in employment laws in either the federal or state system. Using the proposal(s) you located, write an essay explaining the change proposed and answer the following (also reference concepts from the chapters in the text):

Are the changes necessary?  How do you think they will impact the employer or the employee?  What are the advantages and disadvantages to the proposed changes?  Do you believe the change should be implemented?   If yes, then what do you think should be done to ensure that it is enacted?  If no, then what steps do you think should be taken to prevent it from being enacted?

Your essay should be one to two pages in length and follow these guidelines:

Double-spaced 12-point Times font One inch margins APA format (Title page, Citations, Reference page, and quotes over three lines do not count towards the minimum page limit) Correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
