QUESTION

M7D1 HIS

Many historians point to the French and Indian war as a key reason the American colonies begin drawing away from Great Britain. For this discussion consider not only the war but other factors that influenced people’s way of thinking.

For your initial post, discuss how the experiences of American colonists differed from those of their counterparts in England and the ways in which these different perspectives and goals lead to a different political agenda. Support your answer with specific examples.

With two of your fellow students, discuss at what point you believe the colonists began to see themselves as less British and more Anglo-American.
