Malcolm X, Marting Luther King, Jr., and James Baldwin write from the same catalyst, resisting white supremacy and continued racial inequalities in the 1960s in the United States while fighting for racial equality under the law to reinforce social justice in American society. However, each writer is distinct in his approach, tone, and style. Each of these leaders fashioned speeches and writings that also balances audience appeals to logos (reason) and pathos (emotions), while establishing their ethos (credibility) as writers. 

Focusing on their approaches, analyze and compare one element in their styles to post one developed post backed by examples from the readings and documentary. These elements could be one of the audience appeals, tone, stylistic techniques, or common subjects and themes. You may also choose an element of your own to explore.  

As you consider this comparison, you may also choose to discuss how I Am Not Your Negro also speaks to contemporary problems that still persist with racial and social equality and justice.
