Management Strategies

Review the elements to successfully manage human service staff discussed in Ch. 5 of Effectively Managing and Leading Human Service Organizations.

Develop a graphic organizer (chart, table, pictograph, etc.) to create a strategy board for managing employees.

Write 3 strategies for each area of management to ensure success. Strategies should be at least 2 to 3 sentences in length.

Include the following elements of employee management within your document:

• Locating and hiring staff
• Training and development
• Job structure and organization
• Discipline
• Employee termination
