Many reasons have been cited that speculate why the 9/11 terrorists were successful.
Many reasons have been cited that speculate why the 9/11 terrorists were successful. One of the main reasons was that information (intelligence) was not gathered in one place, there was a lack of communications between intelligence agencies, and many red flags were overlooked. Warning signs were present from the time that the terrorists entered the U.S., conducted training and planning, and ultimately boarded the airplanes and executed the most horrendous acts against the U.S.
Following the 9/11 attacks, strategies and policies were put into place to allow (require) intelligence sharing between agencies.
Identify one of the strategies or policies that was implemented following 9/11. Do you think that it is effective, or is intelligence sharing still an issue?
