Meeting Protein Needs When Dieting to Lose Weight Your friend has been gaining weight for the last 5 years. He currently weighs 180 lbs and his physician has suggested that he lose 20 pounds to decrease his risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. You know that it will be important for your friend to meet his protein needs as he tries to lose weight. Design a 1-day diet for him that contains about 1800 kcal with 20-24% of energy intake as protein. The diet should consist of breakfast, lunch, dinner and at least 1 snack. More snacks are alright provided the 1600 kcal goal is not exceeded. The diet plan should also meet the RDA for protein both before and after the 20 lb weight loss and follow MyPlate guidelines. No supplements such as protein powders and drinks are allowable. Use the Supertracker at www.choosemyplate.gov to plan the diet. Write a written summary describing how your diet plan meets the RDA for protein and follows MyPlate guidelines. Also summarize any problems you had developing the diet plan and what steps could be taken to overcome them. The summary should not exceed 2 pages. I need appropriate meal plan, nutrient and food group reports in PDF form with the written summary. can't change the deadline
