Memory researchers examining memory over the lifespan have found evidence for a Reminiscence Bump as indicated by an increase in recall of memories from about 10 to 30 years of age for middle-aged people. Based on additional research, three hypotheses have been proposed to account for the bump. Discuss the three hypotheses (i.e., self-image; cognitive; and cultural life script).
