Mr and Mrs Murphy operated a hotel at Charleville. Their daughter was married to a Mr Hogan, who was the owner of a restaurant in Charleville. The Murphys owned a truck that was in need of repair. Mr Hogan owned a semi-trailer. The parties agreed that if Mr Hogan took the truck to Brisbane on his semi-trailer, he could hire a driver to drive the truck back to Charleville loaded with goods for Mr Hogan’s restaurant.
