My initial thoughts were there had to be some sort off intentional reason for allowing such power to one area of our justice system. However, the facts we have at hand may determine otherwise. Some argue that because framers were unable to reach a consensus on its role and relationship to the political branches the responsibly was given to the court. Out text explains "he decision of the Framers to create a political system in which the legislature, the executive branch, and the courts served independent purposes and were accountable to different societal interests reflected a political theory about the possibilities and limits of popular government" (Ivers 2013).
