The slightest hint they have of its possible ill effects is that of the disorientation brought about by the pseudo-power outage and the mysterious kiss that came with it. The victim who got kissed has no idea who kissed him because it was dark. He only knows of the taste left by the mysterious person's lips. This part of the ad is shown even before he gets to drink anything but the harsh reality is that this usually occurs when he's had too much to drink. He won't be able to tell who's kissed him, even if the lights were on. By then, it probably wouldn't be so funny anymore and it probably won't end with just a kiss. These are the things left out by the advertisement, things that belong to the darker side of the alcohol story.

The ad's storyline presents a rightist political perspective as it promotes freedom, consumerism, and everything that goes along with it. The same applies to the actual purpose of the ad. As the ad was made by the company primarily for the company, it still has a rightist feel to it especially with the fact that the ad helps the company compete in the alcohol business. The information it presents, as an ad, is just enough for its actual purpose: to draw in customers.

The government ad promoting responsible drinking is geared towards ...

It tells its viewers of the negative effects of binge drinking through one of the worst possible outcomes of the alcohol story shown in the ad. Some might argue that death may not be the worst because there are other things which may be worse than death, horrible things that we may have to live with every day. But, this, death, is the most comprehendible, most solid example that can be presented to the youth and in an ad of such length.

The ad can be classified as highly informative in the short amount of time it consumes. It shows the usual effects of drinking, such as overactive imaginations, boost of self confidence, and in this case, too much of it, which made the alcohol victim feel invincible. He actually thought he was a masked superhero who can jump great heights and survive great falls. The girl who lost her balloons can also be considered to be a "victim" of alcohol. She felt so sad about letting go of her balloons and seeing them fly away. A normal non-intoxicated person won't react in such a way. She would know that balloons are not amongst the most important things in the world.

As much as this ad is from a rightist government, it has a more leftist feel to it. It pushes for responsible freedom among the youth by also pushing them to think and act for themselves and the community around them. The guy who died in the ad certainly did not appreciate what happened to him and, surely, the crowd didn't enjoy it either.
