This essay focuses on describing fiction and crime fiction stories, that have imaginary characters, that do not exist in reality. The events made up in a story book or movies are all made to entertain the reader by the author. Facts, however, are information which inform the reader about events or keep them up to date about what happened with whom in reality.

In recent years, there has been a tremendous rise in the number of authors writing crime fiction. This essay mentiones authors without proper plots, who give in quickly, making it easier for the reader to guess what would be coming next. Crime fiction has been accepted widely and appreciated by readers instead of reading books on real life crime, articles or books. Differences between crime fiction and real life crimes are well analyzed in this essay, such as why fictional criminals are always found to be smarter than actual criminals and why fictional crimes are written by authors mostly only to entertain their audience by the mysteries.

Some advantages of fiction were explained, such as it builds up creativity in young children. Advantage of a crime fiction mentioned is that people would be more alert in their real life and would learn how to react and get out of difficult situations.

However, a few disadvantages are given too, such as fiction can be at time misleading and diverts the mind of the reader from right to wrong. For example the book “Da Vinci Code” was one of the bestselling novels, but it had a negative effect as it went too far to mislead the reader.
