The book Being Logical was written by D. Q. McInerny and was published by Random House Trade Paperbacks in the year 2005. This book was one of his best sellers and can easily be found on Amazon and Books-A-Million. The author has summarized the book into various parts so that it is clear to everyone. In the book he explains that logic is a fundamental part of our education system and therefore we should not neglect it from our program of study. He goes on to say that when a reader goes through a a book, he should not complicate things written in it and try to understand the logic behind it. The main purpose behind writing this book was to present the basic principles of logic so that people can know the importance of logic and develop a sense of gratification that comes from being rational. D. Q. McInerny wrote this book so that people can practice the art of being logical in their lives. D. Q. McInerny splits logic into five stages so that the audience can easily understand this term. He has discussed each stage of logic in a separate part of his book. The first part of the book helps to set a proper mindset to understand logic. The second and third parts of the book contain the principles, foundations and the arguments related to logic. In the fourth and fifth part he discusses about different methods of illogical thinking.
