There are many people who distinguish between the biological and psychological phenomenon through assuming that these phenomena engross various structure, content, and causal mechanisms. For example, children are aware of bodily symptoms, such as coughing, but they are not aware of behavioral abnormalities, such as obsessively washing hands, which is contagious (Freberg 134). In today’s world, many people take the brain and nervous system for granted, which are actually the source of reason, sensation, intellect, and movement. This basic fact is not universally accepted throughout the human history. Although, there are few ancient observations that came close to the truth that the brain has a pivotal role in maintaining the life. Notaro, Gelman, and Zimmerman (2001) found that children do not believe in the psychological events, such as nervousness can result in physical health outcomes, such as pain in the stomach (Notaro, Gelman and Zimmerman 447).
