Need an argumentative essay on There are now numerous non-mammalian multi-cellular model hosts (e.g. C. elegans) described for use in determining host-pathogen interactions. Describe at less three models, with examples of pathogens tested, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages. Needs to be 1 pages. Please no plagiarism.

Commonly known as fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster is a perfect organism that spends life cycle as a decomposing organic matter. Drosophila’s unique characteristic instinctive resistant response against pathogens makes it a perfect model for study (HILL, OLSON & GRIENDLING, 2012). Another feature that makes the multi cellular model in biological studies is its ability to toll like receptors. Drosophila has a short time for generation yet has an inborn system of immunity similar to that of humans. The model is therefore vital in the study of such pathogens as L.pneumophila and Straphyloccus aureus.

Zebrafish has unique characteristics that make it an appropriate model in the study of pathogens. Key among such feature is a developed immune system. This makes it ideal for studying the manifestation and the interactions of pathogens with either adaptive of innate immune systems (BUBANOVIC, 2004). The advantages of using zebrafish in studies arise from their ability to reproduce rapidly thus high population and ideal size. The model is essential in the study of such pathogens as Straphylococcus aureus, Salmonella enterica and Mycobacterium
