Need help with my writing homework on Scholarship. Write a 250 word paper answering; Scholarship Being raised up at Maypearl, which is a small rural community, I have worked with Hereford cattle since I was 9 years old. In May 2009 I graduated from Maypearl Texas and was amongst the top 10% in the list, due to which I was considered a distinguished graduate. I am currently enrolled in dual credit class in honor program with a GPA of 3.5. At present I am working as an intern in Rainbow cattle services in Texas where my responsibilities include feeding and watering cattle's and maintaining proper appearance of cattle's by washing and clipping them. As a painter I am hired at Stripe Rite in Texas.

Based on my knowledge I understand that the global forces are affecting the agricultural environment today. My goal is to help integrate the needs of people and the environment. The next century invites complex challenges which demand agricultural professionals who can identify opportunities and devise innovative solutions. I want to be a scientist working towards new and path breaking research to improve animal production, product quality and health. I am confident I can do this.

As far as my community involvement is concerned. I was a member of livestock judging team and have won many awards like. National Premiere Exhibitor- Southwestern Region 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008, National Show Heifer of the Year - 2004, 2007, & 2008, national Show Bull of the Year - 2008, etc. My vigorous work has helped me stand top10 in the state award of Texas junior livestock. I have polled. Hereford Princess- 2003-2005 and Hereford Queen for Texas 2008. I am in junior board of directors of Hereford. I have achieved 1st place in the state speech contest and 3rd place in photo contest of Texas junior Hereford association. Have also helped in church nursery and coordinated with people in school toy drive, food drive, blood drive, and mentor programs. My extracurricular activities include involvement in athletics. I have been a team co-captain in volleyball, played softball and track.

My aim is to attend Texas A & M which will help me in getting excess to excellent research programs and world-renowned faculty in the Animal Science and Business Departments. The department of Animal Science has courses in animal breeding, nutrition, genetics and the possibility of participating in such research programs excite me, and the business department - the best in the country- will allow me the opportunity to have a better understanding of the business world. Attending college in Texas is important to me. TAMU will allow me to work in a program that will help me support and develop my own small cattle herd, as well. I feel that I will receive the best education at TAMU. I will need scholarship help to pursue my dream of attending Texas A & M.
