QUESTION

Note the following :

I am needing help with my mitosis and meiosis chart identifying what is happening in each phase.

Note the following: (1) cells entering into meiosis I and mitosis are both 2n =4 and have already undergone interphase, (2) at the end of meiosis I the number of chromosomes have already been reduced by one-half (n = 2), BUT a second nuclear division must take place, because the chromosomes are in a replicated form, and (3) events occurring during meiosis II & mitosis are similar. The only difference is cells in meiosis II are haploid (n=2) and the cells in mitosis are diploid (2n=4).
