Objective: By conducting research come up with an answer to the following question:

Currently, what is the greatest threat to the United States of America?

Task: Your task is to develop and support a thesis statement that answers the question above. Then by completing careful research provide supporting evidence that supports your claim.  

When completing your research and constructing your project be sure to do the following:

- Identify the threat

- Use evidence to make a case for why it is the “greatest” current threat

- Discuss actions being taken to address the threat and evaluate their success 

- Create and discuss a plan for addressing the threat in the future 

When completing your research be sure to use the following:

- Use at least three current event articles

- Use at least one government report/study

- Use only the library databases to find at least three additional sources

When constructing your research project be sure to include the following:

- In text chart/graph

- In text quote (One to two sentences)

- In text passage (Four to five sentences)

- Supporting evidence corroborated by two sources

When editing your research paper be sure it is (if you decide to go down this route):

- 3-5 pages in length

- 12 point Times New Roman Font

- Double Spaced

When completing your research project be sure it includes

- Chicago style footnoting

- A Bibliography Page
