Begin by carefully reading Chapter 8 of "The Things They Carried" and Chapter 8 of "The Great Gatsby." Pay close attention to details, characters, settings, and the narrative style in both texts.

Step 2: Choose Your Annotation Method:

In a new Word document, you can type your annotations in a clear and concise format that is easy to understand and follow, then upload the document here.

Step 3: Annotate Actively: As you read, annotate actively by doing the following:
