One of the university's values is excellence. Part of the definition states that, "All of us, individually and collectively, work hard to ensure that our students develop the character, learn the skills, and assimilate the knowledge essential to become morally responsible leaders." This week we will learn about linear programming, which is an excellent tool for finding fact-based optimal solutions to business decisions. It attempts to remove human judgement from the decision-making process. For this week's discussion, please support or defend the idea that business decisions should be based upon facts versus human judgement. Can you think of an example when judgement should override a fact-based decision?
