One would assume that MNCs such as Coca-Cola are expected to invest in their host states in various forms.

One would assume that MNCs such as Coca-Cola are expected to invest in their host states in various forms. The popularity of Coke products has raised its obligation to engage in humanitarian endeavors. Of course, it is possible to suggest that its activities in the next ten years could be influenced by the types of regimes that emerge in some of its host countries. This is a potential development in developing countries that sometimes respond adversely to MNCs from the West. No doubt, it is in Coca-Cola's best interest to continue to maintain an image that would allow it to be seen as a good citizen. After all, this is a company involved in sponsoring a wide variety of sporting events which are linked to community building. A company such as Coca-Cola must recognize the significance of combining public relations with its "for-profit" ventures. This is especially important for a company that seeks to maintain a strong relationship with communities in various parts of the world.
