(A)  On one Excel worksheet, build two tables that will show Supply at each Source and Demand at each final Destination. Build a third table which divides the scenario into decision stages, and shows transportation costs for each path in each stage.

(B)  On a separate Excel worksheet, formulate your scenario as a standard-form LP transshipment model.

(C)  On a separate Excel worksheet, set up a model which can be used by Solver to derive an optimum solution to your formulation. Run Solver to find an integer solution, and clearly mark your answers.

(D)  Using your solution, go back to your (A) worksheet and add a fourth table which shows the total volume of goods received at each of the five U.S. ports named in the Scenario.

(E)   On a separate worksheet:

a.    Write an Interpretation that will explain the objective and your answer to someone who knows nothing about LP.

b.    State what lessons you learned from this assignment.

c.    State how you might use LP models (in the future) in your chosen major or career.
