REACTION PAPER

• All papers must contain a proper left-aligned heading (your name, course, date) and a title (that is centered below the heading)
• Essays should be at least 3-5 paragraphs (750 words)
• An academic paragraph must contain at least 3 sentences
• Indent the first line of all paragraphs using the TAB key
• Double-spaced ONLY (including between the header, title, and paragraphs)
• 12 point font ONLY
• New Times Roman or Calabria font ONLY
• 1 inch margins ON ALL MARGINS – TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT
• Students may not submit course work from other classes
• Written work is graded on its originality, content, clarity, and proper use of APA references/citations if they are required (direct quotes, statistical data, specific dated events).
• All papers must contain proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and sentence structure.
• All citations, in-text and work cited page, should be in proper APA format.
•  Must be submitted through Canvas in the form of a Word Doc or PDF (other formats will not open in Canvas such as .pages)

Minimum 750 words – Not including quotations. An A-Level paper (90-100 points) will be substantially (>10%)  over 750 words of well-developed analysis. Any quotations should be cited correctly but will not counts towards the 750-word minimum development.

Your paper will focus on 3 elements of your film review and analysis:

1. How does this film connect or relate to the topics we have covered/discussed in class and/or in the required resources? Does it confirm any specific information that we covered or that you read? Does it contradict any specific information that we covered or that you read?

2. In addition to information in the film that was connected to our class material, what new material covered in the film added important depth and relevance to our class topics and course? In other words…how did this film ADD to our course and course material?

3. How does this information connect to your life experiences or the life experiences of a person (or group of people) that you know about? This does not require you to divulge or discuss personal information. This element of the paper can be framed entirely in third person and/or with made up names. It does require you to think critically about the material in relation to your knowledge and life experience.
