This marks the first out of four role-play sessions involving the Santos Family, your mock client. To prepare for this session, review the Santos Family Case Study, which will aid you in practicing the necessary skills.
In this first graded role-play recorded via Zoom, you will demonstrate the following:
- Setting the meeting tone.
- Clarifying names to be used.
- Explaining the process for the meeting and its purpose.
- Explaining confidentiality.
- Explaining contract and releases of information.
- Asking clients about the problem.
- Closing the meeting.

The groups are encouraged to use the rubric to ensure all elements are present. Groups will also utilize the overview and any course resources to help create an informed role-play.
- Be sure to check the course announcement that is pinned with your group members if you forget.
- You will record your role-play in Zoom, in the cloud, and once it has been processed, share the open link with each group member.
- Each group member will upload the link to the submission page in order to have the assignment graded.
