In this class, you will be working on a fictitious project to better understand the steps in the project management process. This week, you need to select a project to work on. Some options are listed below, select a project that you feel comfortable with, and understand (or feel you can easily learn about).

· Planning a wedding

· Refurbishing a car

· Organizing a concert

· Designing a website

· Renovating a bathroom

For this assignment, the project you have selected write a brief (one paragraph) description of what you plan to work on.

Since this is your first project with the company, your manager would like to test your project management knowledge before you can begin to work on your own. Your manager has asked you to describe the characteristics of the project lifecycle and describe the characteristics of a successful project.

To make sure you impress her, make sure your memo includes the following points:

· What a project is and how it differs from a process.

· Brief discussion on all phases of a project.

· Describe two criteria that may be used to select a project.

APA: The required APA elements are all included with correct formatting, including in-text citations and references.
