PART 4. Task 1 Implementation Scenario: Twelve months have passed since the initial implementation of the Human Resources strategic plan.

PART 4.

Task 1

Implementation Scenario:

Twelve months have passed since the initial implementation of the Human Resources strategic plan. Within this time period the following observations were made about the Australian University's Medical Faculty and the success of the strategic plan:

·     After the initial rounds of recruitment the employment of technical staff has remained stable. However, one technical staff member did leave the university due to motivational and compensation disputes with HR.

·     The budget was exceeded by a total of $1,500,000 across various areas of the plan (make assumptions of excess spending in regards to your own development plan)

·     An increase in staff motivation and job satisfaction was noted

·     All other activities were found to be successful with a varying degree of risks faced ( make assumptions in regards to your own development plan)

Based upon the given scenario information above review your own implementation plan and conduct a progress review meeting with your team members to:

     i.        Review the results of implementation to date

   ii.        Review performance against objectives

iii.        Review the effectiveness of the risk management plan developed in Part 3 Task 2

iv.        Identify steps that can be taken to improve the implementation

    v.        Make changes to the relevant section(s) of the strategic human resources plan to enable the improvements to occur

Prepare a status report which includes findings from progress review meeting, addresses the implementation observations and describes the changes made to the strategic human resources plan.
