1.Why do we protect "Free Speech" and Expression? Should “Free Speech” at any time be curtailed?  If yes, when? If not, why not?  Present your arguments in detail.

2.To what extent would you argue that government should be permitted to infringe, limit, or abridge our rights to Freedom of Expression?  Describe in detail some situations in which government should not intervene and some in which it should, explaining why you think as you do?

Week 5

1.When is behavior, sexual or otherwise, degrading or demeaning toward women, and how is this to be judged?  What does it mean for a book or film to endorse such behavior? Can behavior toward men be just as degrading or demeaning as behavior toward women? Explain your answer.

2.Should gender or sexual orientation ever be a consideration to hire someone or in contracting services?  If yes, why should it be considered?  If no, why not?  What about those who work in a field that are traditionally performed by people of the opposite gender (i.e. a male nurse or a female plumber)? Explain your answer.

Week 6

1.Just war theory assumes that morality applies to war.  Does it?  Or when it comes to war, does the end justify the means?  Explain your answer giving examples and illustrations.

2.Should a government take away certain rights of a citizen if he or she refuses to fight because they believe it is an unjust war?  Explain your answer.

Week 7

1.Do you think the only and/or major reason for preserving and protecting nature and the environment is to protect our own good, or do you feel that we have a moral obligation toward nature because it is intrinsically valuable?  Present your argument in detail.

2.Do you believe that animals have rights, and do you believe that humans have an obligation to see that these rights are protected?  Why or why not?    If you argue that animals have rights, what are they and why?  If you argue that animals do not have rights, why do humans have a right to use animals? Present your argument in detail.

Week 8

1.Which of the four principles (beneficence, autonomy, non-maleficence, or justice) do you believe is more important, when considering medical or bioethics? Why?  Present your argument in detail.

2.To what extent do you believe that human beings can or should be experimented on?  Under what conditions would you allow such experimentation? Present your argument in detail.

3.What do you think will be the most important issues in medical ethics or bioethics in five years?  In ten years? Why?  Explain your answer.

            A contract modification signed by the both the contractor and the contracting officer.  (E.g. supplemental agreement)

 Choose either Unilateral or Bilateral provide a specific example of that modification and describe the process of executing it.
