One of the goals of the treatment center you work at is to eventually open a new, modern treatment facility. You will be working with a team to research the current treatment models used in the field and current issues that will need to be addressed. The team will make recommendations to propose a plan for a new center.
.
Individual Portion:
As a member of this team, you will need to choose 1 treatment model used in the type of treatment facility your team has decided to recommend. Also, how would you go about developing a plan using that treatment model to address 1 current issue that you will work to improve upon at a new treatment facility? Each group member should pick a different issue to address for his or her individual portion. For example, you might choose one of the following issues: dual diagnosis issues; MR/DD and addictions; mental illness and addictions; addictions and violence; domestic violence; violence in the workplace; criminal activity; sexual abuse; or child abuse and neglect. Individually, write a paper of 1–2 pages detailing the approach the new treatment center should take to address the issue. Be sure to include both short-term and long-term goals.
Please add your file.
Group Portion:
Come together as a group and agree on 2 current issues that your group will address in the proposal for the new center. In 1 report of 3–4 pages, your team will submit a proposed plan to the director of the center, including a recommendation for the new facility. The director will review your plan and may ask for additional information before he sends the final plan on to the investors of the center. Your team's plan should include the following:
- Recommendation for new facility
- Type of facility
- Model of treatment
- Objective: 2 current issues to be addressed
- Plan for addressing issues
