1. What does Hume mean by “impressions” and “ideas”? Give two of your own examples of each.

3. Based on what Hume says in Section 5, for what reason do we expect heat when we see flame? Explain why!

4. Give an example of a case in which you were mistaken about the cause of an event. Why did you think it was the cause and how did you discover it was not the cause?
