As a criminal justice professional, you must consider how audience characteristics might influence how a message should be delivered. You should then consider challenges to effectively communicating a message to that audience.

• Explain how you would revise your approach if, as the chief of police, you were presenting to your fellow police officers instead of to the community. In your explanation, be sure not to change the content of your original message.
