It is not known if and to what degree mindful self-care (MSC) correlates to academic burnout in graduate school counseling students in the United States. The purpose of this quantitative correlational study is to examine the mindful self-care (MSC) practices and academic burnout levels of graduate school counselors in the United States (Loi & Pryce 2022) ( p.304-305).
Knowing what is known at this point, a theoretical framework goal is to identify variables and test the hypothesis. In a conceptual framework, this organizes and explains the relationships between different concepts or variables. Knowing that conceptual framework may best fit my research because understanding the conceptual framework helps to organize and explain the relationships between different concepts or variables, and this framework is often used to guide the development of hypotheses and to interpret the findings of studies. Brown (2020) (p.40) reports that designing and maintaining an everyday self-care practice that intends to optimize practitioner well-being still needs to be researched. This use of conceptual framework can be used to guide my research on academic burnout among graduate school counselors, ie., using conceptual framework to visualize and investigate research between variables and the relationships between these variables (Gregory 2020) (p. 137), in addition, design interventions to reduce the risk of academic burnout. In many instances, conceptual and theoretical are used interchangeably; however, conceptual identifies the main things to be studied, the process of personal conceptualizing.
