The consumer brand I discuss in my podcast is Oreo! They are one of my favorite, if not my favorite, cookies because of the different flavor options and limited edition flavors they produce regularly. I love the variety they offer, plus who doesn't love cookies? So I thought it would be a fun brand to discuss. I decided to give the podcast a name: "I Brake for Oreos"
According to a case study, the target market of Oreo were mothers and children. However, the company's 2013 "Wonderfilled" marketing campaign aimed to broaden that target audience to everyone who wanted to re-live their childhood through the cookie (Direct Marketing News, 2014).
The information the audience would like to hear are reviews on the new flavors that are currently on shelves. The goal of this podcast is to inform Oreo fans if the new flavors are a hit or miss, and even worth purchasing. Since the two flavors discussed in the podcast are brand new and limited editions, the podcast's content is very relevant. I was also honest with my reviews, since I am obviously not sponsored by Oreo, which gives the podcast credibility.
