1.  Present the reader with your group and a statement noting the “other” of that group.  This need not be longer than a few sentences.

2.  Using scholarly sources describe or tell your group's origin story, its creation myth. Remember that this is myth, not history, so tell the creation story as such if you can do so.

3.  Then using scholarly sources, describe your group’s "others," whether they be monsters, villains, or enemies. Against whom does your group define themselves and why?  Is there any other group or species with which your group identifies? Answer with particular stories from your research.

4.  Offer a wrap-up conclusion.

Cite all sources in MLA style.
