Pretend you have been hired as a Research Psychologist by a pharmaceutical company. Your job is to determine the effectiveness of taking the company’s newest drug, Vitamin J, by conducting both an experimental AND correlational research study. Hypothetically, please respond to both parts of the question asked below. Please label each part clearly in your answer.

PART 1: Briefly outline an experiment in which you are trying to show that using Vitamin J results in better memory.  Be sure to identify your Independent Variable (IV), Dependent Variable (DV), Experimental Group (EG), and Control Group (CG). 

PART 2: Briefly outline a correlational study in which you determine whether there is a relationship between using Vitamin J and improved memory. What sort of graph would you use to understand your results? Please explain how you would interpret a result of +.81. How would you interpret a result of -.08?
