Hi Lisa,

Conduct the analysis with only 1 independent and 1 dependent variable. Please see the example below as a guide for how to write the results (this was posted in the announcements) paying close attention to how the p-values are notated in the example and how they are talked about:

Here is an example:

RQ: What is the relationship between age and taste in music?

Null Hypothesis (H0): There is no statistically significant relationship between age and taste in music.

Alternative Hypothesis (HA): There is statistically significant relationship between age and taste in music.

Results:

As can been seen in Table 1 age was not a statistically significant indicator of music liking (p=.966). However, the type of music (music) had a statistically significant effect on whether or not someone liked the music (p=.000). When considering the interaction between age and type of music, the results then indicate a statistically significant relationship to music liking (p=.000). Older individuals indicated that they preferred Barf Grooks while those that were younger preferred Fugazi. Based on these results the null hypothesis would be rejected as age and music type combined (as well as music type) has a statistically significant relationship to music taste and the alternative hypothesis accepted.
