Many of the individuals I come into contact with have drug/alcohol issues and I work closely with the organization Lifeline in order to help and support them. This organization provides a wide range of drug and alcohol services for adults and young people, for example, harm minimization services, needle exchange, drop-in, and day programs. Lifeline also carries out research and publishes materials concerning drug and alcohol abuse. The importance of the involvement of the service user is stressed, and the organization values the input and expertise of the people directly affected by the abuse.
