Read the case study, “Is it Management or Public Relations” (Shafritz, Russell, & Borick, 2012, pp. 316- 319), and answer the following two questions posed at the end of the case study.

1.     Is public relations as practiced by government leaders a new management skill or just one that is newly required?

2.     Can you offer recent examples of “defining moments” of public officials or candidates for public office?
