Purpose

The goal of this Unit 2 Individual Assignment is to build on your Unit 1 Individual Assignment by assessing how your emotional intelligence supports or augments your leadership style. This assignment will also facilitate your Unit 2 Team Assignment where you will compare each other's leadership styles and abilities and choose a leader for your team who will lead you through creating a mock communication plan. Self-awareness of your own emotional intelligence will strengthen your efforts as a teammate in this class and your professional project manager relationships.

Task

Your submitted assignment should be approximately 500 words long and include:

1. A self-analysis of your own degree of emotional intelligence and an introspective explanation for that assessment.
2. Discuss whether you believe you need to evolve your degree of emotional intelligence. If so, how do you plan to go about doing that. If not, why not?
3. An informal assessment of whether your current degree of emotional intelligence supports or augments your current leadership style, and
4. A reflection on how evolving your degree of emotional intelligence would further augment (or possibly transform/change) your leadership style.
5. Include at least 3-5 references from course readings or your own outside research. The 500-word count does not include your references.
