This case study discusses the award recipient's experiences along the following dimensions:

ROI, Value, Telehealth, Privacy, and HIE.

Read these five aspects/dimensions of the case study and prepare a PowerPoint presentation file with four slides devoted to each of the above dimensions; in all, there should be 20 slides in the presentation (4 slides per dimension * 5 dimensions). These slides should clearly summarize the key points for each aspect/dimension.

Question 3 (25 points):

Draw a crossfunctional flowchart for the process of a physician completing a laboratory order, from the time it is identified that a patient needs to be have a lab order to the time the physician communicates the patient's lab results back to the patient. Some of the intermediate steps include the nurse escorting the patient to the lab, lab staff drawing the blood and/or collecting the urine sample, lab staff communicating the results back to the physician. Once the lab results are received, physician has to determine whether they are normal or abnormal. Physician needs to make different decisions depending on whether the results are normal.

Draw a crossfunctional flowchart for the process first by assuming that there are no EHRs that are used to implement this. Then discuss how the process may be changed if EHRs are used. You need to use Microsoft Visio to accomplish this. You have completed a similar crossfunctional flowchart in homework assignment 4.
