4 points In Week 3 we had a question about Billy Bozo. I’m sure you remember Billy. Well it seems that Billy’s father, in order to protect his own company from Billy, bought his son a small biotech company. This company makes specialized drugs for a group of related rare diseases. Some of the drugs are monoclonal antibodies and others are recombinant proteins. The company has expertise in making these types of materials. The drugs have been cleared by the FDA. After the purchase the company was renamed Bozo Labs and Billy became CEO. Billy decides to aggressively grow the business and after reading some articles in the Sunday newspaper and Reader’s Digest about new innovations in Biotechnology, he announces that he wants to undertake four new projects that will grow the company. All of these projects align with Billy’s deranged strategy for the business. You don’t have to worry about technical feasibility. Billy is totally ignorant of all things technical and assumes his R&D people can solve any problem overnight. However we have talked about other risks projects may face. These include ethical problems, environmental issues, litigation problems, public relations problems, accounting problems, regulatory problems, intellectual property issues and distribution issues. Since Billy is an expert in sales and marketing we will assume there are no distribution issues with these projects. For each project there may be one or more of the listed issues that the project may encounter. More than one issue may apply. For each project indicate one of these issues that may apply to the project and explain why. If more than one issue may apply, choose the two you think might be the most serious problems The same problem might affect more than one project. We know Billy is a nitwit so there are many things you can criticize. To answer this question focus on the problems in the highlighted sentence. Billy’s list of projects:1.
