Question 1. When a new drug is created, the pharmaceutical company must subject it to testing before receiving the necessary permission from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market the drug. Suppose the null hypothesis is "the drug is safe." Describe Type I and Type II Error.

Question 2. What is critical z-value zc for Right-Tail test with significance level 0.08? Mark position of this value on the number line and shade Critical/Rejection region.

Question 3. Hypothesis are: Ho: μ=120 and Ha: μ>120. Sample with n=49 has mean x̅ = 122. Distribution is Normal and standard deviation σ = 30. Find p-value for this test.

Problem 4. A claim was made that actual age of starting drinking in USA is less than 21. Ho:  = 21 Ha:  < 21 The sample of randomly taken n=25 teenagers showed that mean x̅ =20.4 Distribution is normal, and population standard deviation is σ = 1.5. Finish all steps the Hypothesis Testing and make decision if your sample data support the claim at the significance level 0.05.

Problem 5. A study was done to test the claim that the average waiting time in ER is 20 min. Sample of N=100 patients were checked, and the average waiting time was found as x̅ = 23 min. Distribution is normal, and population standard deviation is σ = 15 min. Complete the Hypothesis Testing at the significance level 1% and make the decision if the sample data support the claim or the average waiting time in this ER is different (this is Two-Tails test).
