Question 2 - plan your response – this is the key question on the exercise

A take-off on a favorite discussion question of mine, beginning with the time period of the Crusades: show how the Western experience of the Crusades led to the rise of humanism, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and to more enlightened thinking in the West.  You may find it necessary to define terms mentioned above, and note some causes and effects of the obvious transformation which resulted from these experiences.  You may employ a chart, or bullet lists, but be sure enough explanatory detail is included in the cells/bullets.            This is not a 1 or 2 line assignment.  Give some thoughtful consideration to this response.  Sources?
