Further, it will give you some ideas for how the social contract could be shifted and rewritten to be brought up to date for the current decade and beyond.

Part 1

The first article discusses the historical criticism of government involvement in business enterprise. The second article presents a new ideal for capitalism and the social contract. Please explain what level of social responsibility, if any, that you believe corporations should have. Explain your answer.

Part 2

The author of this article describes the notion of “embedding long-term wealth creation in the heart of the enterprise.” Research and describe an example of a company that is doing this successfully. Describe the nature of their business and how they embed the long-term wealth creation. Or, invent an imaginary company that does this effectively and explain the nature of their business and how they manage to embed long-term wealth creation into the core of their corporate enterprise. This essay should be a minimum of 500 words in length. Cite references in apa format.
