Frederick has two ways to deal with this matter.
He can sue the professor for being a thief. Regardless of the relationship between the student and professors. Yes, you can sue friends but it will cause fliction. It will ultimately end the relationships, but if you think about it What kind of “friends” steals another one's ideas and uses it for their own selfish needs? None, because that is not a friendship. Friends help each other out. Professional professors would have supported the idea and maybe helped out. Possibly by supporting the idea and donating money to start the business. The fact that the professors not only stole another student's idea, but they used the idea, sold it, and made tons of money off of it. This is selfish, wrong, and shows a lack of good character. Teachers are always on students about plagiarism and here we see college professors that steal a students idea and give no credit to the student/ creator. Do I hear plagiarism?
Or
Because Frederick is religious we can look at this in a biblical perspective. We as humans make mistakes and God wants us to forgive each other. So Frederick really could settle this out of court. He would need to work out the disagreement, make a negotiation, do mediation, aribiation, and if nothing works then he needs to look for a lawyer.
In my personal opinion, I do not think these Professors would be able to negotiate. Given the fact that they tried to be sneaky with the idea and were able to receive money out of this. I would sue them. I would sue them for the millions dollars they recieved. And two million for the inconvenience. Frederick still would have to buy his idea back from the companies or have his name placed in as the creator. That way he can get paid for his creation. You can still use a biblical point of view with suing. As Romans 13:1-2 says, "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow." So God does want us to follow his laws and rules. These professors should be fired and revoked of their teaching license . This probably wouldn’t be the first time these professors have done this. This case could open up the opportunities for students to come forward with their ideas, inventions, or creations that were stolen and made money off of, by professors of the same college.
