Research paper
Your final paper will be a 5-6 page double-spaced research paper. This paper will be an argument. This means it will make an arguable claim on a debatable subject. The class readings are divided into a number of subjects:
- Education
- Media Studies
- Business
- International Relations
- Biology
- Environmental Studies
- Nursing (see supplemental readings on Unit 1 readings button)
Citation Style
You will cite your paper in APA. Include a works cited page in the same citation style along with in-text citations.
Sources:
You final paper must use five credible sources that support your argument or add to the conversation around your main point, including your Primary Response Article. All sources must have named authors to count for credit. Two of your sources must be peer reviewed journals.
Acceptable credible sources include:
- Books/ebooks
- Scholarly or Professional Journals
- Magazines
- Newspapers
The paper should keep in mind all of the basic conventions of academic writing. The paper should be thoroughly edited and proofread.
Final papers should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document (doc or docx.), or as a .rft file. Do not submit as a .pdf, a Microsoft works file, or a Word Perfect file.
