RESEARCH TOPIC CHOICES (CHOOSE ONE):

After you have selected your topic from the list above, complete the following steps (ASSIGNMENT):

1. Narrow the focus on your topic, and clearly define the issue you will research about the topic (see narrowing your research focus below).
2. Identify three expert sources you will use for your research report. List the specific references using APA formatting.      Wikipedia and dictionaries are not acceptable academic sources for this report.
3. Specify two quantifiable sets of data you will incorporate graphically into your report (for future lessons). Do not      create the graphs now; just state what you will show graphically (example: increases in the minimum wage since it was first regulated or the racial breakdown of students entering college in 2016 in Arizona) and the type of graph you'll use for each.

The topic you have chosen, must be narrowed down to keep your paper to the 3- to 5-page limit  (future assignments). To limit your focus, do some research to see what kind of information is readily available. Keep in mind that you'll need to create two graphs of different types depicting relevant data on your topic.

1. Will you   examine the effect of your topic on individuals or on organizations (e.g. college debt as it relates to students or how it affects colleges, the economy, etc.)?
2. What are the economic, health, and social effects of the topic? Do you want to focus on just one of these?
3. Is there a different angle altogether you wish to explore about your topic? Be specific.
4. Who is affected by this topic?
5. How long has this been an issue? Is some action required? By whom? How urgent is the situation?((
